One place you should never, ever go in derry, maine is into the sewers.
And yet when i had the opportunity to do just that, i was pretty much ecstatic to do so. In stephen king's 1986 novel, it , the popular 1990 miniseries based on the novel, and now in the new film adaptation, there is something very old and very evil in the town of derry, and it has mercilessly targeted the local children. Most often taking the form of a clown called pennywise, it's lair is within the sewers, which allows it access to pretty much any and everywhere. In junior high, when i first read it, i became absolutely captivated with king's excellent, incredibly immersive and freaky novel (i've probably read it a half a dozen times at this point), and to see pennywise's domain brought to life for the new feature film version of the story -- and to actually set foot inside it --- was a pretty amazing feeling.
Whatever stephen king told us about it’s backstory, this is how pennywise was really born. I doubt whoever owns this carpet is okay….
It (also known as stephen king's it) is a 1990 american abc two-part psychological horror drama miniseries directed by tommy lee wallace and adapted by lawrence d. Cohen from stephen king 's 1986 novel of the same name. The story revolves around a predatory monster which has the ability to transform itself into its prey's worst fears, allowing it to exploit the phobias of its victims. It mostly takes the humanoid form of a darkly comedic clown called pennywise. The protagonists are the lucky seven, or the losers club, a group of outcast kids who discover pennywise and vow to kill him by any means necessary. The series takes place over two different time periods, the first when the losers first confront pennywise as children in 1960, and the second when they return as adults in 1990 to defeat him a second time after he resurfaces.

Writer/producer john campopiano also released another statement, after the indiegogo campaign was launched. Here's what he had to say below.

The origins of pennywise are outside of earth or the natural universe.
Pennywise, or at least its physical embodiment on earth, originated from the macroverse. After an unknown period of time, pennywise violently crashed on earth and located itself in north america. After that pennywise slept for thousands of years until the 1700s when it began its first attacks on humans.
Sep 14, 2017 @ 4:19pm the consumer: (based off the turtle maturin who is the creator and in the book it is called the consumer) i believe pennywise should be made like this 1. His attack undisguised is weaker, takes 3 hits, is as fast as the cannibal tho 2. When disguised as a survivors fear, he would slow down, but gain up to two attack on survivors.
Adaptational wimp : unlike most other versions of the character, this pennywise is restricted to only using his opponentÂ’s fear against them and is completely unable to harm them otherwise, whereas the other pennywise's at least had combat abilities and could kill their opponent regardless of their fearlessness. Also, unlike the book version of the character, who is an extra-dimensional formless being, this version of pennywise seems to be completely organic.
King's it and the dark tower novels reference the same creatures controlling the universe. According to many of king's books, every evil, destructive and selfish thing is motivated by a force called high random. Pennywise, for example, is a physical form that an ancient evil, a being belonging to the higher random, chooses to take while on earth, in our reality. That evil force also controls the overlook hotel in the shining; the sisters in shawshank redemption; and buffalo bill and the swarm of dead insects in the green mile. If you were wondering why every parent in it is cruel and sickly, it's because pennywise, living in the sewers, has turned the town into a pulsating source of evil.

Pennywise is a punk rock band from hermosa beach, california, formed in 1988. The name is derived from the monster, it, from the stephen king novel of the same title. Between their 1991 self-titled debut and 2005's the fuse, pennywise had released an album every two years on epitaph records, a label owned by bad religion guitarist brett gurewitz. To date, the band has released ten full-length studio albums, one live album, two eps and one dvd. Although their first two studio albums were critically acclaimed, pennywise would not experience worldwide commercial success until the 1995 release of their third studio album, about time, which peaked at number ninety-six on the billboard 200, and number fifty-five on australia's aria charts. The band's mainstream success was signified by a growing interest in punk rock during the 1990s, along with fellow california bands nofx, rancid, blink-182, bad religion, green day, the offspring and sublime. By 2007, the band had independently sold over 3 million records worldwide, making them one of the most successful independent punk acts of all time.

skarsgård was born in vällingby , sweden , the son of actor stellan skarsgård and doctor my skarsgård. He has seven siblings: alexander , gustaf , valter (all actors), as well as sam, eija, ossian, and kolbjörn.
Ossian and kolbjörn are half-brothers from the later marriage between stellan skarsgård and megan everett.
The presence of the cat when georgie encounters pennywise and it witnessing georgie's murder. Bill searching vigorously for georgie for almost a year. Stan's encounter with judith the flute lady after struggling in his bar mitzvah rehearsal. The fight between bill and ritchie. The brief separation period of the losers club, except for bill and beverly.
This may sound nuts, but there's actually a lot to support the idea that the kid is actually pennywise from it. Skarsgård is the obvious link, since he plays the maniacal clown in the recent film adaptation. Is it possible he was tapped for castle rock because of this, and the creators are holding out for a flashy reveal that the show and movie are canonically linked?.
With it: chapter two currently nightmaring up some serious box office dollars at a theater near you, now's as good a time as any to perfect your take on the lauded smiling tactics of pennywise. That's the exact sort of educational material you'll find tucked into bill skarsgård's timely late show interview, which sees host stephen colbert making a commendable attempt at the smirk.
