leslie knope is a city council member and the deputy director of pawnee’s parks department, and she loves her job.
She is extremely optimistic and works so hard to make sure pawnee’s citizens are taken care of… even if she was born in (gasp!) eagleton. She also really, really loves waffles.
It wouldn't be a proper top 10 without the ol' "honorable mention" cheat. This time around the "just barely cracked the final list" award goes to season 7's "the johnny karate super awesome musical explosion show" - one of the most offbeat episodes of parks ever. Where the viewer actually watches the entire final episode of andy's johnny karate show as he teaches the kids of pawnee about about building, learning, kicking, trying, and being nice for the very last time. It was 22 spectacular minutes spent inside andy's brain - within a joyful job he'd created for himself out of all the things he loved - with only a brief moment spent on the side to learn that what andy loved most of all, more than any of his crazy interests, was april.

In " born & raised ", burt assists leslie in retrieving her long-form birth certificate from the wamapoke county records by storming the back of the records office after the employee working there tells her it will take a few weeks to get her birth certificate to her. Burt is on high alert in " bus tour " after someone tries to throw a pie at leslie at a campaign rally.
He uses jerry as a case study to try and determine the angle at which the pie was thrown towards leslie. Burt eventually solves the pie case: it was meant for ben , not leslie, and it was thrown by joe fantringham , whom ben had fired. Andy catches joe attempting another pie throw, but he forgets to actually stop him and ben is hit in the face.
"the fight" is the thirteenth episode of the third season of the american comedy television series parks and recreation , and the 43rd overall episode of the series. It originally aired on nbc in the united states on may 12, 2011. In the episode, the parks department employees become very drunk during a bar outing, where leslie and ann have their first major fight. Meanwhile, chris tells tom he must sell his share in the bar due to a conflict with his government job. According to nielsen media research , "the fight" was seen by an estimated 4. 55 million household viewers, a drop from the previous original episode, " eagleton ".
Aborted arc : the original story arc was leslie's struggle to turn the pit in lot 48 into a park. After the retool going into season 2, the pit was filled in, but the idea to build a park was dropped almost completely by season 3 as the show picked up other storylines. During the camping episode, leslie says that they couldn't continue turning the lot into a park because chris wanted the next project to bring in revenues.
The original story arc was leslie's struggle to turn the pit in lot 48 into a park. After the retool going into season 2, the pit was filled in, but the idea to build a park was dropped almost completely by season three as the show picked up other storylines. In-universe this is because the department's budget, already too small to support the project, was drastically cut. During the camping episode, leslie says that they couldn't continue turning the lot into a park because chris wanted the next project to bring in revenues. The lot remains unmentioned for two years afterwards, until april suggests making it into a dog park in season five's "leslie vs. April". An impromptu groundbreaking occurs in ann's last episode, then the time skip reveals pawnee commons was completed shortly after the end of season 6.
2017 everyone is gathered at the parks and recreation office to say goodbye to one another. Throughout the episode, there are flash forwards to show the future of each character. As everyone says goodbye, a resident comes in to complain about a broken swing and asks if it can be fixed. Leslie decides that they can do one last thing together to help pawnee, and goes about doing that. They first obtain a form from donna, and goes to level 4 with andy and april to get it approved. After that, leslie and tom go to another department, meeting jean-ralphio along the way, only to realize that it closes on friday. They ask garry, who is now the mayor, for help. After getting all permissions, they head to the park fix the swing together.
If you don’t already know this, i hate to break it to you: “parks and recreation†is coming to an end. The final episode of its final seventh season airs tonight, and in tribute, its biggest fans on the playlist staff/in the world have tried to wrestle our infinite love for the show into just ten episodes.
Brenbella 16 august 2018 parks and recreation has many great episodes. Some are political satires on american culture, some are very influential to the series as a whole, and some are just flat-out bonkers. Season 3's episode "the fight" certainly fits the latter. You know, sometimes all you need in an episode is just to see everyone get super drunk!.
There was nothing more prized in pawnee, indiana, than their beloved, celebrity mini-horse (not to be confused for a pony). Li'l sebastian was basically the town mascot. He also received an honorary degree from notre dame, so you know he was in a league all his own. If you're a true parks and recreation fan, you'll be able to recall how much joy the little wonder brought to anyone he visited. The pawnee parks and recreation staff literally lost their cool when he visited the office. Unfortunately, the sweet animal passed away in season three, but what better way to honor the amazing character than by dressing up as him. Plus, i have a feeling this costume will be sure to make you the center of attention.
None of us want to face it, but the time has come to say our goodbyes. After seven seasons, the " parks and recreation " gang will part ways in tuesday night's series finale. We've already ranked the best recurring characters , but now we honor the true heroes of pawnee.
If you’ve ever had a conversation with me, it’s pretty easy to tell that i’m a lot like april ludgate from nbc’s parks and recreation. I’m not generally a people person, i use sarcasm almost as much as i breathe, and i’m not usually affectionate towards others. She’s pretty much my tv kindred spirit. Plus, in real life, aubrey plaza is awkward and hilarious, making her my #1 favorite actress.
Burt macklin is an alter-ego used by the andy dwyer character on nbc’s cult classic parks and recreation. The character is played by the now hollywood heavyweight chris pratt. Burt macklin pops up at various times throughout the show whenever andy feels that hard-nosed law enforcement is needed. Usually, the situations are quite minor, but almost always could be seen as the criminal offense of impersonating an officer.
He's the alter ego of hunky office goofball andy dwyer (chris pratt), who has been called upon to solve various pawnee mysteries and misdemeanours over the years.
