Sound really should get fixed out to have a more modern angle and not sound like a garage band from the 90s, so as not to depend too much on the subject matter of the lyrics.

The game has you going through side scrolling stages and is reminiscent of games like double dragon or streets of rage fight punching and kicking enemies, collecting coins from the defeated foes as well as leveling up with slight rpg mechanics the pixel art visuals still look quite good in the rerelease, and having it include the dlc is nice as is the low price of $15 but it suffers from things like stiff movement which allows enemies to get hits on you too easily, the effects audio( attack sounds) being somewhat muffled under the music (even with music turned way down, the attack sounds are just too low) and worse, the extreme difficulty. It's not a game for someone that gets easily frustrated by cheap deaths caused by unblockable attacks, long enemies attack combos, overly strong bosses and no mid stage checkmarks and the fact that you have to repeatedly die and use the picked up cash to level up your stats, go through lose all your lives again and repeats till you can level up enough to be effective feels cheap and unnecessarily padded. It's not a terrible game by any means. But it is harder then it needs to be (even if you cheat to have power of love sword at start of every stage). So be warned before playing. … expand.

Teenreviewboard nov 04, 2017 edgar wright is one of, if not the best, directors of all time. That being said, scott pilgrim vs. The world is my favourite movie, not only of his but in general. As a comedy, it’s very refreshing. Michael cera does an excellent job of portraying an awkward 20-year-old and helps bring the whole movie together. The sound design, the rest of the quirky and vivid cast, and the fast-paced editing all blend together to form a fantastic commentary about today's youth and their battles on the relationship front. From an artistic standpoint, the movie is very contemporary. A lot of the editing and the plot itself are both extremely different from typical modern movies. It’s definitely a movie worth watching if you’re looking for something unique and underappreciated by the world of film. 5/5 -@makani of the hamilton public library's teen review board.
