When i was a child, i was what you would call a jrr tolkien fangirl. I read the lord of the rings over and over. I traipsed around the countryside, imagining it was middle-earth. With just a flight of imagination, i could be snug in the shire, exploring the mines of moria, or even flitting through the woods of lothlórien.

I've said it before on here, but i was a huge lord of the rings nerd. I mean really, really, epically huge. Growing up, my parents were of the "televisions spoil the mind" crowd, so the most we did was occasionally rent a video from the library and watch it on our otherwise useless tv. This meant that, even compared to most kids, i.

The dwarf lords to whom the seven were given became wealthy beyond measure, but they did not fall to sauron's power. As soon as sauron put on the one ring, the bearers of the three became aware of him and took them off in fear and anger. They defied sauron and refused to use the rings. Seeing this, sauron attempted to claim the rings to distribute them to other peoples; he waged war against the elves , and although the elves fought valiantly, eregion was destroyed.
